How XR LOTO training works
We build your exact lockout/tagout instructions into the application. Each session can run in three modes:
- Exploration – move freely around the plant and get to know the infrastructure.
- Training mode – carry out the LOTO procedure step by step, with guidance.
- Test mode – perform the procedure on your own; the trainee and the trainer get a score and a list of mistakes.

It is training in which employees practise isolating and locking out energy sources in virtual reality instead of on live equipment. In XR LOTO they do it in a 1:1 digital twin of their own plant, following the plant's own lockout instructions.
How is XR LOTO different from off-the-shelf VR LOTO courses?
Off-the-shelf courses use a generic factory and generic procedures. XR LOTO recreates the real area of your facility – equipment, layout and sounds recorded on site – and runs your exact lockout instructions.

How long does implementation take?
Implementation covers capturing the selected area of your plant, building the 3D model, implementing your lockout instructions and training your trainers. The timeline depends on the size of the area and the number of procedures – we agree it with you at the start of the project.

Yes. Our team implements new or updated lockout instructions in the application for you.
Does VR training replace hands-on LOTO training?
